The production of engineered nanoparticles (ENPs) is growing at an incredibly fast rate and will soon become a trillion dollar industry. At this rate of production, there is a great potential for engineered nanomaterials to be released into the environment, both intentionally and unintentionally. TiO2 ENPs are one of the most widely produced nanoparticles with a broad range of applications in paints, inks, sunscreens, cosmetics, astronautics, and air/water purification.
