The purpose of this paper is to describe and explain the many different theories of constitutional interpretation. I have placed all theories discussed in one of two categories: interpretist or noninterpretivist. This paper also attempts to analyze the way in which these theories of constitutional interpretation are implemented by the United States Supreme Court Justices who advocate them
