Nowadays, due to wide applicability of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) added by the low cost sensor devices, its popularity among the researchers and industrialists are very much visible. A substantial amount of works can be seen in the literature on WSN which are mainly focused on application specific WSN considering its resource constraints, neglecting the return-of-investment and usefulness of the system. In this paper, we bring out the WSN scenario which supports multiple applications and study the challenges that would pose in implementation as each specific application has its own specific set of requirements.
