In this paper a technique for separation of harmonic and structural modes in output-only modal testing and identification is presented. The indicator is based on the basic differences of the statistical properties of a harmonic response and narrow-band stochastic response of a structural mode. The indicator is demonstrated on an example where a plate is loaded by an engine rotating with quasi-stationary speed.
