Continuous Improvement (CI) is an approach to organizational change that requires active involvement ofskilled and motivated employees, which implies an important role for HRD practitioners. The findings froma literature review and a survey of 168 Danish manufacturing companies indicate however that HRD israrely integrated with CI. The paper contributes by offering a model that depicts how HR and HRDfunctions could be exploited to support successful CI development and implementation
