An innovative and new concept for measurements of wind on a wind turbine has been developed and implemented. The concept has potentials for improved tools for optimization of yaw error, power output and loads. The principles of the concept comprise a unique utilization of the spinner mounted on most wind turbines, and integrate the spinner into a hybrid wind measurement system. The concept includes fixed wind speed measurements on the spinner for determination of wind speed, wind direction and wind inclination angle as seen by the rotor.
