Objectives: To identify the literature available evidence on the occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis among nurses and TB control mechanisms existing in the hospital. Method: Integrative review of the databases LILACS and MEDLINE database thesis, USP, from 2000 to 2010. Results: The professionals most developed tuberculosis disease in the workplace were cited in 14 nurses (82.4%) cited medicine and in 03 (17.6%) of the articles analyzed in relation to other health professionals. Conclusion: It is extremely important to implement biosecurity measures in hospitals, and research of pulmonary tuberculosis infection in health professionals
