LEIOMIOSSARCOMA PULMONAR PRIMÁRIO GIGANTE

A 57-year-old woman with backpain was diagnosed with a right hemithorax mass. Transthoracic needle biopsy showed a low-grade leiomyosarcoma. Surgery was performed, with resection of the tumor en bloc with the 5th right rib and the right lung. Pathology showed a 22 x 19 x 10 cm, 2700 g primary pulmonary leiomyosarcoma, an extremely rare finding.Mulher de 57 anos com dor no dorso em que foi diagnosticado uma tumor no hemitórax direito. A biópsia transtorácica por agulha revelou um leiomiossarcoma de baixo grau. Foi realizada cirurgia, com ressecção do tumor em bloco com a 5ª costela direita e o pulmão direito. O exame anatomopatológico mostrou leiomiossarcoma pulmonar primário de 22 x 19 x 10 cm e 2.700 g, patologia extremamente rara
