This study examines the effects of noise pollution at various times of the day on residential, commercial, and industrial zones in Lagos, Nigeria. Different noise levels are shown by descriptive statistics; residential zones have moderate noise during the day, higher noise in the evening, and reduced noise at night. The noise levels in commercial and industrial zones are consistently greater, which highlights the difficulties that households experience. There is a discrepancy between measured and perceived noise levels, according to community perceptions impacted by cultural and local factors.
