The introduction of business information services in libraries is presented as an example, pointing out that if libraries with their traditions and back-ground fail to do so, new organizations will emerge to supply users with such services, and libraries will be subjects to lose their present role and importance. Introduction of business information services is considered as an innovation process coping with the need of change. and the key issue is the management of innovation.
