LINEAMIENTOS PARA LA SELECCIÓN DEL TALENTO HUMANO QUE ASPIRA INGRESAR A LA LICENCIATURA EN EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA, PARA FORTALECER LAS COMPETENCIAS DOCENTES.

The main purpose of this writing is to present the results of recent research findings, which are related to the general objective of proposing specific guidelines for the selection of human talent that aspires to enter the bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, with the final intention of proposing the strengthening of teaching competencies in the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Panama. The research was carried out in the period from November 2016 to November 2018. Theoretically, the “selection variable” was based considering: Mijanovich (2004) Chain, Cruz, Martínez and Jácome (2003), Chiavenato (2002) Barone and others (2015), Galilea (2000), Botkin (1979), Ontiveros (2011), Gavilán, (1983), among other authors. Methodologically, it was considered: “the mixed paradigm, type of feasible project research, with a non-experimental Cross-sectional field design.” To carry out the research effort, a population of 238 students, 28 university professors, 35 teachers observing the practicing students, and 2 authorities was estimated. The final sample was 58 subjects (students).The information collection techniques and instruments used were: Structured interview, containing 6 questions for diagnosis and 3 Likert-type scale questionnaires containing five alternative answers, which were validated, the reliability was 0.86, 0.81 and 0.88, respectively highly reliable.It is concluded: that almost never and never do the contents of the preparatory course provide the student with the opportunity to discover their vocational inclination, interests, aptitudes, skills and motivations as future teachers; almost never and never, the Academic Unit responsible for the selection processes conducts vocational competence interviews with the student; almost never and sometimes: the student meets the predictive index established by the University of Panama in the general admission tests, which for these purposes should have been one point zero (1.00); It was also inferred that, almost never and never: the physical, mental and emotional health exam is required as a requirement to enter to study the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education. Another relevant finding is the type of degree option that graduates are almost obliged to take to graduate from the bachelor's degree, and that professional practice is almost never carried out as an option to complete the teaching career; Therefore, it is considered convenient and recommended that the selection process must be meticulous, specific and standard for all applicants who enter to train in the Bachelor of Primary Education, in all the Academic Units of the University of Panama that offer this career, allowing the identification of candidates with the best abilities, skills and aptitudes, to work as teachers.El presente escrito tiene como principal propósito presentar los resultados de recientes hallazgos investigativos, que se relacionan con el objetivo general de proponer lineamientos específicos para la selección del talento humano que aspira ingresar a la Licenciatura en Educación Primaria, con la intención final de proponer el fortalecimiento de las competencias docentes en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Panamá. La investigación se realizó en el periodo noviembre 2016 a noviembre 2018. Teóricamente, se fundamentó la “variable selección” considerando a: Mijanovich (2004) Chain, Cruz, Martínez y Jácome (2003), Chiavenato (2002) Barone y otros (2015), Galilea (2000), Botkin (1979), Ontiveros (2011), Gavilán, (1983), entre otros autores. Metodológicamente, se consideró: “el paradigma mixto, tipo de investigación proyecto factible, con un diseño no experimental de campo transeccional”. Para la realización del esfuerzo investigativo se estimó una población de: 238 estudiantes, 28 profesores universitarios, 35 maestros observadores de los estudiantes practicantes, y 2 autoridades. La muestra final fue de 58 sujetos (estudiantes). Las técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de la información utilizadas fueron: Entrevista estructurada, contentiva de 6 preguntas para el diagnóstico y 3 cuestionarios a escala tipo Lickert contentivo de cinco alternativas de respuestas, los cuales fueron validados, la confiabilidad fue, 0.86, 0.81 y 0.88, respectivamente altamente confiables.Se concluye: que casi nunca y nunca los contenidos del curso propedéutico le brindan la oportunidad al estudiante de descubrir su inclinación vocacional, intereses, aptitudes, destrezas y motivaciones como futuros maestro; casi nunca y nunca, la Unidad Académica responsable de los procesos de selección realiza entrevistas de competencia vocacional al estudiante; casi nunca y algunas veces: el estudiante cumple con el índice predictivo establecido por la Universidad de Panamá en las pruebas generales de admisión que para los efectos debió ser de uno punto cero (1.00); también se infirió que, casi nunca y nunca: se le exige el examen de salud física, mental y emocional como requisito para ingresar a estudiar la Licenciatura en Educación Primaria. Otro hallazgo relevante lo es el tipo de opción de grado que se cuasi obliga a los egresados realizar para graduarse de la licenciatura, y que casi nunca se realiza la práctica profesional como opción para culminar la carrera docente; Por lo que se estima conveniente y se recomienda que el proceso de selección debe ser meticuloso, específico y estándar para todos los aspirantes que ingresan a formarse en la Licenciatura de Educación Primaria, en todas las Unidades Académica, de la Universidad de Panamá que ofertan esta carrera, permitiendo identificar a los candidatos con las mejores habilidades, destrezas y aptitudes, para ejercer como maestro
