Our objective was to estimate the richness and prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites present in two subspecies of the howler monkey in Panama (Alouatta coibensis trabeata and Alouatta palliata aequatorialis). To locate the individuals, real roads were traveled in the township of Llano Grande, Ocú, Herrera (site 1) and the path of the Camino del Oleoducto of the Soberanía National Park (site 2), where we made a direct search in the canopy and an indirect search by trail (vocalizations) with Azimuth.
