Flood risk assessment and land cover planning of flood-prone areas have become key actions in the framework of flood control strategy. This will has motivated the design of a new method of analysis of flood-prone areas that integrates the contribution of remote sensing with hydraulic models.The proposed method has been applied on two coastal floodable areas in Western Algeria. First, Machine and Deep Learning methods are applied for the land cover classification in these areas. This classification was performed on multiple high and very high spatial resolution satellite images at two image levels: pixel and object.
