The proper connective tissue, which defines the fascial system, plays a central role in supporting the biomechanics of the body. Fasciae can be classified between superficial and deep according to their anatomical structures and bodily functions. However, despite the importance of fascial alterations in different clinical conditions, the literature is still lacking in evidence comparing superficial and deep fasciae in terms of biomechanical properties.
