Among the different recycled aggregates that can be used to improve the sustainability of structural concretes in civil engineering structures, e.g. bridges, Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) slags were demonstrated to provide at the same time increased mechanical properties, reduced environmental impacts but also high unit mass in the final conglomerate.
