In Malaysia, fisheries technology has been used for decades and has effectively replaced some traditional fishing methods in the fisheries sector. The evolution of fisheries technology has changed how fishermen catch and process fish in their daily routines. However, within the fisheries sector, the Zone A fishermen's community is still facing marginalisation in the current progress and development of science and technology.
