Lingga Regency has an area of 45,508.66 km2 with a land area of 2,235.51 km2 and an ocean 43,273.15 km2, with 531 large and small islands. There are still many small islands that have not been exploited for their natural resources and marine resources. Regarding the management of coastal areas, currently it has been regulated in Law no. 27 of 2007 in conjunction with Law no. 1 of 2014 concerning the Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands (UU PWP3K). The formulation of the problem is how to implement the PWP3K Law and the obstacles faced by the Lingga Regency government.
