(A) Female mice froze significantly less during the tone test than male mice at 3-months of age (F(1, 64) = 4.87, p = 0.0309; ANOVA). No sex differences were found at 6-, 9-, or 12-months of age in the tone test. (B) There was a significant effect of sex in 12-month-old mice during the context test as male mice froze significantly more than female mice (F(1, 62) = 7.15, p = 0.0096; ANOVA).
