Desde aguas profundas o el Complejo de Ofelia en O lustre, de Clarice Lispector

The present study reflects on the images of water and the presence of the so-called “Ofelia Complex” in the novel O lustre (1946), by Clarice Lispector. We seek to recognize the role of death in murky waters in the texture of the plot and in the constitution of the character Virgínia. To do so, we rely on the theorizations of Gaston Bachelard (1997) around the “Ofelia Complex” and other scholars who have dedicated themselves to the subject.El presente estudio reflexiona sobre las imágenes del agua y la presencia del llamado “Complejo de Ofelia” en la novela O lustre (1946), de Clarice Lispector. Buscamos reconocer el papel de la muerte en aguas turbias en la textura de la trama y en la constitución del personaje Virgínia.
