The expansion of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to the emerging THz spectrum has enabled a new era of applications in the areas of automobile, security, non-destructive testing, and material characterization. Thanks to the sub-mm wavelength, extraction of material surface properties is possible and of significant interest for the THz SAR applications.
