Penyuluhan Hukum Tentang Pemilihan Umum Kepada Pemilih Pemula Sma Madani Al-Aziziyah

Article 198 paragraph (1) of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections Chapter IV, initial voters are Indonesian citizens who are 17 years old or more on voting day or are already married, who have the right to vote. In the 2024 simultaneous elections, the number of young voters is expected to increase. If guided by the 2019 election, KPU figures show that out of 193 million voters, the number of young voters reached 70-80 million. This means that 35% -40% of young voters have a big influence on the election results, which in turn affects the progress of the country. However, another potential problem for participating young voters is that they also have the opportunity to become contributors to "abstain votes" in the 2024 Election. The purpose of this service is to explain to first-time voters about the importance of participating in general elections, the factors that cause some first-time voters not to participate in elections general.Keywords: Beginner Selector Abstrak:Pasal 198 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 7 tahun 2017 tentang Pemilu Bab IV, pemilih pemula adalah Warga Negara Indonesia yang pada hari pemungutan suara sudah genap berusia 17 tahun atau lebih, atau sudah kawin, yang mempunyai hak memilih. Pada pemilu serentak 2024, jumlah pemilih muda diperkirakan akan meningkat. Jika berpedoman pada pemilu tahun 2019, angka KPU menunjukkan dari 193 juta pemilih, jumlah pemilih muda mencapai 70-80 juta. Artinya, 35%-40% pemilih muda berpengaruh besar terhadap hasil pemilu, yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi kemajuan negara. Namun potensi masalah lain bagi pemilih muda peserta adalah mereka juga berpeluang menjadi penyumbang “suara abstain” pada Pemilu 2024.Tujuan Pengabdian dilakukan untuk menjelaskan kepada pemilih pemula tentang pemilu dan pentingnya keikut sertaan dalam pemilihan umum, Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab sebagian pemilih pemula tidak ikut pemilihan umum.Kata Kunci: Pemilih Pemula
