This thesis demonstrates that the theoretical and analytical focus around the topic of cultural participation inequalities has primarily remained on the impact of person-specific characteristics, namely individual socioeconomic and demographic factors. At the same time, the role of territorial, spatial or geographical aspects are little explored and accounted for.
