This study proposes a comparative analysis of the circulation of information between two peripheries of the Habsburg Monarchy (Croatia and Transylvania), respectively between a periphery and a center (Croatia and Pest), following the way in which the uprising in Rakovica in October 1871, together with its background and political connotations, were received, interpreted, and further transmitted to the Romanian-speaking public in Transylvania and Hungary by the Romanian press of the time.
