In the last decade, the connection between museums and health has started to be explored and documented by a growing body of evidence, which has highlighted not only the power of artworks but also the potential of displays in enhancing visitors’ wellbeing, by offering creative or even therapeutic stimuli that can result in physical, psychological and emotional benefits. As this topic is gaining a central role in the agenda of contemporary institutions, the paper aims to draw attention on the impact of this phenomenon on the design of museums’ spaces and settings, that are addressing the related tasks through the integration of new rooms and the experimentation with innovative museographic strategies
