Género y educación en Ecuador: Un análisis histórico sobre las dinámicas femeninas y masculinas en el espacio escolar

Gender gap has been a problem that has constituted several social spaces, generating given perceptions about the actions of men and women, what eventually creates stigma and limitations relating to their private, family, academic and social life. In such a way the purpose of this research paper is to identify how gender relations have been forged in the education field, with the aim of identifying shortcomings and generate a reflection on practices and instituted habits in educational institutions. Historical reviewing of educational institutions in Ecuador allows us to understand the transformation of social dynamics throughout the years and the process for the inclusion of women within the various social spheres into what is known now, permitting consolidating a critical view on established structures and the need of a profound transformation to strengthen respect for the rights in any of its dimensions of a greater justice and equity.La brecha de género ha sido una problemática que ha constituido varios espacios sociales, generado percepciones determinadas sobre el accionar de hombres y mujeres, lo que termina construyendo prejuicios y limitaciones respecto a su vida personal, familiar, académica y social. De esta forma, el artículo de investigación tiene como finalidad identificar como se ha ido conformando las relaciones de género en el campo educativo, con el fin de identificar las falencias y generar una reflexión sobre las prácticas y hábitos instituidos en establecimientos educativos. La revisión histórica de la institución escolar en el Ecuador, permite comprender la transformación de las dinámicas sociales a lo largo de los años, y el proceso de integración de la mujer en las distintas esferas, hasta lo que hoy se conoce, permitiendo consolidar una visión crítica sobre las estructuras establecidas y la necesidad de una transformación profunda para fortalecer el respeto a los derechos en cualquiera de sus dimensiones desde una mayor justicia y equidad
