Adalaria proxima and Onchidoris muricata are both semelparous hermaphrodites. When measures of reproductive production were used, higher measures of reproductive effort were found for the species that has planktotrophic larvae (O. muricata), but when measures of reproductive "cost' were used, the higher "costs' were found for the species with lecithotrophic larvae (A. proxima). -from Authors</p
