The reactivity and application of typical organic P-Se containing compounds, namely, selenotriphosphines SePR3, secondary selenophosphines SePHR2, selenophophates SeP(OR)3, selenophosphonates SeP(OR)2R, selenophosphinates SeP(OR)R2, their derivatives and closely related compounds is described. The usefulness of Woollins’ Reagent in organic synthesis is also discussed
