Correct tissue collection and preparation of a sample for histopathological examination play a key role for the proper diagnosis and, when biopsy is performed, often also for the prognosis of a treated patient. In this aspect, the collection, preservation/fixation and transportation of a specimen are crucial to obtain reliable results. Each sample must be send with accompanying submission form.
