This article aims at the presentation of new approach to the growing need for establishing strategies of feeding farm animals in coming decades. According to FAO forecasts, in 2050 the global population will reach 9 billion people. Already now, the food production is under enormous pressure and struggling with many problems. It is therefore, an urgent need to develop and introduce sustainable production of high-quality protein foods. Poland is a country where there is a limited range of high-protein feed sources, which constitute valuable components for the feed and food production.
