U ovom radu obrađena je primjena Digital Human Modeling (DHM) postupaka u unaprjeđenju ergonomije proizvoda. Opisane su različite metode ergonomske procjene, njihova izvedba te nekoliko DHM programa s njihovim karakteristikama. Nakon toga, provedene su ručne ergonomske analize i analize pomoću programa Santos i CATIA na modelima sjedala trkaćih automobila. Podaci i parametri prikupljeni iz četiri studije korišteni su za ostvarivanje usporedbe. Usporedba DHM i ručnih metoda na primjeru sjedala formule ima za cilj prikazati njihove prednosti i mogućnosti te procijeniti njihovu korisnost u konstrukcijskom procesu.
