Russia Beyond Russia Digital Library Collection Export

The Russia beyond Russia (RBR) digital library was a digital publishing initiative that provided Internet access to the full text of documents and images related to the study of the Russian Diaspora. In 2002, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill acquired the collection of Paris antiquarian book dealer André Savine, which contains more than 60,000 items including books, serials, manuscripts, and archival material. To help manage both his antiquarian bookstore and his private collection of Russian émigré materials, Savine recorded this research on index cards and notebook pages. Savine's research served as the basis for the Russia beyond Russia (RBR) digital library, which provided access to bibliographic descriptions of Savine's collection
