Online Crop Forecasting System for Farmers and Agro Business Industry

One of the fastest-growing sectors in the information technology field could be software. Most individuals nowadays seek software and AI solutions to aid them in their daily tasks. Even tiny shops in rural sections of the county for example, use software to keep track of their inventory and sell it. However, even in this condition, some sections in various fields operate without the use of software or expert assistance and as a result, they are messed up.Furthermore, some people in the county's rural areas continue to do their day's work in traditional ways, while others do not. But not like the older generation of people, the new generation of people have the ability to read, write, and use technical equipment, and they are also able to use mobile phones, computers, and the internet. But the issue is that there is no adequate technical equipment and software tools that can provide the ability to help in their day-to-day work and their main jobs. As a result, they are doing their work and jobs in traditional ways without moving to the modern way even though they have computers, mobiles, and the internet as well.As an example, farmers of the modern generation who are living in rural areas have the ability to read and write. And also, they are using mobile phones and computers too. But they are using those devices and resources to use social media, watch movies, and so on. They are not using those resources to make their work and jobs easier and faster. The reason behind this is that there are no software tools or web-based platforms that are compatible with their work and jobs.And also, most of the time, those people in rural areas are not well connected with other people who live in other parts of the country. The communication between rural people and other people is less. Even though the younger generation of people who live in those areas have the ability to communicate with other parts of the country using mobiles, computers, and the internet, they are not doing it in a useful manner that helps to improve their lives and their work rather than use social media and watch videos. As a result, some of the great opportunities are getting missed by those people.As an example, farmers are cultivating a large number of vegetables in those areas, but they are only selling them in the same area or a bit far from it because they don't have the ability to transport them far. The buyers who live in other regions of the country do not have any idea of the amount of production that the rural farmers have produced. The reason for this happening is that there is not any suitable communication method that can connect the rural farmers with the buyers from other areas.As technical people, we are able to solve those problems in a modern way. If we can provide better software solutions that match with their work, they can use them to increase their productivity, which will reduce the wastage of resources and time. In this project, we are creating web-based software that will aid in the resolution of one of Sri Lanka's key agricultural issues.
