The addition of boron to the advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) enhances grain boundary cohesion and can play a significant role in intergranular degradation phenomena such as Zn-assisted liquid metal embrittlement (LME). The objective of this study is to reveal a thorough understanding of the effect of B on LME behaviour, where the welding test results indicated substantial improvement even at relatively low B concentration.
