Ruins and mills in 17th century dutch landscape painting

Bu çalışma ile amaçlanan, Hollanda resim sanatının en önemli dallarından biri olan manzara resminin ortaya çıkışı ve gelişimini inceleyerek, pek çok görsel ögeyi barındıran bu görkemli sanatın içinde bulunan “Harabe” ve “Değirmen” temasının oluşturduğu ulusal görsel kimliği ve bu kimliğin Hollanda resim sanatının gelişiminde sahip olduğu önemi daha önce üzerinde çalışılmamış noktaları ile ele alıp ortaya çıkarmaktır. Çalışmanın dönemini kapsayan 17. Yüzyılda Hollanda’da gerçekleşen toplumsal ve siyasal değişimlerin sanatçılar üzerinde bıraktığı etki ile beraber sanat doruk noktalarına ulaşmış bu sebeple de 17. Yüzyıl “Altın Çağ” olarak Hollanda tarihine altın harflerle kazınmıştır. Mevcut dönemde yaşamış olan sanatçılar herhangi bir düşünce, kavram veya hissin daha iyi açıklanabilmesini sağlamak için simgesel bir bağ kurmuş bu bağlamda alegorik tasvirler ile soyut kavramlar görsel bir kimliğe bürünmüştür. Yapılan araştırmalar neticesinde elde edilen resimlerin birçoğunda bu alegorik betimlemeye rastlanmış ve görünenin ötesinde derin anlamlara ulaşılmış, bu anlamlar kaleme alınmıştır.The aim of this study is to examine the emergence and development of landscape painting, one of the most important branches of Dutch painting, by examining the national visual identity formed by the theme of “ruin” and “mill” in this magnificent art, which contains many visual elements, and this identity in the development of Dutch painting art. is to reveal the importance it has with its points that have not been studied before. With the effect of the social and political changes that took place in the Netherlands in the 17th century, which covers the period of the study, art reached its peak with the effect of the artists. Artists who lived in the current period have established a symbolic link in order to better understand any thought, concept or feeling, and in this context, allegorical depictions and abstract concepts have taken on a visual identity. This allegorical description was found in many of the paintings obtained as a result of the researches, and deep meanings beyond the visible were reached and these meanings were written down
