This article has as its object to put the iconography present in Laconian black-figure vases within the general context of Greek iconography during the Vlth century B.C.,while trying to understand the specificic traits characterizing it. We aim at improving our views on the political and commercial relationships that determined the production and trade of those vases in the Greek area, and the reasons leading to their collapse as well
