In recent years, Morocco has pursued a consistent strategy of public debt to finance its expenditures. However, this continual reliance on borrowing has not yielded the necessary revenues to fulfill commitments to creditors while requiring the state to meet credit deadlines without compromising economic growth. In this context, this article aims to empirically explore the relationship between public debt and economic growth in Morocco from 2000 to 2020.
