PENERAPAN URBAN LANDSCAPE SEBAGAI PUSAT KOTA DI LAPANGAN PUPUTAN BADUNG

The rapid growth rate of the urban population will have an impact on urban ecology such as the availability of water, clean air, and greening. This has also resulted in high demand for land in the city center. Urban Landscape is one of the concepts that can overcome problems due to development. The application of the concept of Urban Landscape as the city center can be seen in Puputan Badung Field which is viewed from urban landscape elements. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of the Puputan Badung field and also the application of urban landscape which is reviewed through 6 landscape elements by Booth. By using qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, data collection is collected through observation and recording directly to the place of the research object. The results showed that Puputan Badung Field can be categorized as an urban landscape in the city center that seeks to improve the quality of life of residents and provide comfort in urban areas.Angka pertumbuhan penduduk perkotaan yang pesat akan berdampak pada ekologi perkotaan seperti ketersediaan air, udara bersih, dan penghijauan. Hal tersebut juga mengakibatkan kebutuhan lahan yang tinggi di pusat kota. Urban Landscape merupakan salah satu konsep yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan karena perkembangan pembangunan. Penerapan konsep Urban Landscape sebagai pusat kota dapat dilihat pada Lapangan Puputan Badung yang ditinjau dari elemen landskap perkotaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran dari lapangan Puputan Badung dan juga penerapan urban landscape yang ditinjau melalui 6 elemen lanskap oleh Booth. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, pengumpulan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan pencatatan langsung ke tempat obyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Lapangan Puputan Badung dapat dikategorikan sebagai urban landscape pada pusat kota yang berupaya untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup penduduk dan memberi kenyamanan di perkotaan
