Several methods have been evaluated during orthodontic treatment to accelerate tooth movement, invasive or surgical and non-invasive with the inclusion of various protocols such as: medications, external electrical stimulation, microvibration, low power laser (LBP), corticotomies, etc, however, it could not be affirmed that any of these is highly efficient and irrefutable. The objective was to analyze the corresponding literature on the ability of the use of high-power laser versus low power laser in orthodontic tooth movement acceleration.
