Morphometric investigation on humeral and antebrachial bones in the chickens, native ducks, pigeons and quails

Çalışmada 10'ar adet tavuk, yerli ördek, güvercin ve bıldırcın kullanıldı. Kanat kemiklerinden humerus ve antebrachium çevre dokulardan diseke edildikten sonra kumpasta ölçümleri alındı. İncelenen kanatlılarda en büyük humerus'un yerli ördekte olduğu onu sırası ile tavuk, güvercin ve bıldırcının izlediği tespit edildi. Antebrachium uzunluklarında da aynı sıralamanın olduğu saptandı. Güvercinlerde, incelenen diğer kanatlıların aksine antebrachium'un humerus'tan daha uzun olduğu tespit edildi.In this research, ten chickens, native ducks, pigeons and quails were used. Tissues around the humeral and antebrachial bones were dissected. Then their length were measured with compass. In investigated fowls were found that native ducks have the greater humeral bone, followed by chicken, pigeon and quail, respectively. Same order were determined in antebrachial lengths. Antebrachial length were found to be longer than humeral length in pigeons oppositely other species
