Bu çalışmada, düşük karbonlu saçlara değişik şartlarda 600°C da 30 dakika, 1 ve 2 saat ayrıca 550°C, 600°C ve 650°C da 1 saat) tavlama işlemi uygulanmıştır. Yukarıda belirtilen şartlarda tavlanan deney numunelerine 10 mm/dak., 50 mm/dak. ve 250 mm/dak.'lık çene hızlarında çekme testleri uygulanmıştır.
