Bu çalışma, 1980 tarihinde Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyetinde düzenlenen Ulusal Çocuk Sağlığı Kongresi‘nde bildiri olarak sunulmuştur.Malabsorbsiyon sendromlarında tanıya varmak çoğu zaman güçtür. Özellikle gluten enteropatisi de denilen Çölyaki hastalığında daha da zor olmaktadır. Bu amaçla 68 ince barsak biopsi materyalinde lntraepitelyal lenfasit (İ.E.L.) sayımı yapılmıştır. Özellikle Çölyaki hastalığında İ.E.L. sayısı yüksek olarak bulunmuştur.
