Bu çalışma süt ineklerinde Saccharomyces cerevisiae canlı maya kültürünün rumen protozoalarının sayı ve yüzde dağılımlan ile rumen sıvısı pH, sodyUm. (Na}, potasyum (K} ve Toplam Uçucu Yag Asidi (TUY A) miktarlan üzerine etkisini incelemek amacı ile gerçekleştirildi. Çalışmada aynı yaş ve süt verimine sahip toplam 24 baş Esmer ve Holstein ırkı süt inegi kullanıldı. Deneme boyunca hayvaniara konsantre yem ve bezelye silajı yedirildi. Deneme grubunun rasyonuna hayvan aş ına 1 O g canlı maya kültürü (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) ilave edildi. Çalışma ilk iki haftası adaptasyon olmak üzere toplam 10 haftalık bir dönem boyunca devam etti.
