Managed by dominant ideologies, official historiography, for a long time, highlighted certain subjects and events, neglecting, to the same extent, many other elements fundamental to a more comprehensive understanding of History. This theoretical consensus, predominant among historians until the middle of the 20th century, easily breaks down out in face of the heterogeneous potential of the literary text, capable of, throughout the ages, traversing these dominant discourses, giving notoriety and, not infrequently, protagonism to the various subjects and characters less favored by this historiographical hyperfocus.
