Abstract The study aims to analyze the impact of gaming on student learning motivation in FTI UKSW student hostels. In the growing digital age, online games have become a popular entertainment among students. However, questions arise about how playing games affects their learning motivation. The study used a lift/questionary to collect data from a number of students who were actively playing games and living in dorms. Some students report that playing games can affect their learning motivation by spending too much time in games. However, others also state that playing can be an additional source of motivation when used as a reward after completing academic tasks.
