EKSISTENSI PENGGUNAAN BAHASA GAUL PADA MEDIA SOSIAL X YANG MEMPENGARUHI GAYA BAHASA GEN-Z

Slang can come from a language that has been changed or a language that is widely used. Slang can be used by more people because in technology and communication can make the spread of information easier and faster. The teenagers of generation Z usually use slang more. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, and its data collection method focuses on language elements, namely phrases, clauses, and sentences found in X social media. It is related to the impact of Gen-z's use of Indonesian slang on X social media. It is related to the effect of using X Indonesian slang among Gen-z. Data collection methods are documentation, recording, and screen capture from X social media accounts @tanyakanrl and @convomfs. from the results of the analysis of slang language used on X social media there are 11 language words that are often used, namely toxic, random, doi, hoki, rill, bengek, ngabrut, salty, red flag, membagongkan, and bjir. Slang language is widely used on X social media by Gen-z. Several factors influence the use of slang among Gen-z, such as the pervasive influence of foreign content, and the desire to be perceived as "slang" along with the use of slang itself
