PENGELOLAAN SARANA PENDIDIKAN: UPAYA MENINGKATKAN LITERASI SISWA MELALUI POJOK BACA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

The low literacy of students is a big challenge for educational institutions, especially basic education institutions. This study aims to describe the school's efforts in managing educational facilities, namely the reading corner, to improve student literacy. The qualitative approach is the approach used in this research and this type of research is a case study. The research was conducted at Al-Abror Islamic Elementary School with a duration of one month from September 4 to October 10, 2023. Data collection techniques used three activities consisting of participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data in this study consisted of primary data obtained from the principal, vice principal of student affairs, vice principal of facilities and infrastructure, teachers, and students. Secondary data were obtained from national and international scientific journals. The research data analysis used consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.   The results of the study show that efforts to improve student literacy through reading corners focus on four things, namely: the initial stage, the education stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage
