PENGARUH MINAT BACA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN PADA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

The research aims to determine reading interest, reading comprehension ability and the influence of reading interest on reading comprehension ability at SDN No 198/I Pasar Baru sub-district of Muara Bulian, Batanghari district in class V. This type of research is quantitative with ex post facto type. The results showed that the reading interest of class V students at SDN No 198/I Pasar Baru had an average or mean of 90.56 based on the categorization in the table in the high category. For the ability to read comprehension, the average or mean is obtained 79.63. It can be seen from the category in the table that it is in the high category. The results of the simple linear regression test found that: Y = 26.015 + 0.591X. The results of testing the hypothesis are obtained. Judging from the results, tcount = 3.86 is greater than ttable = 2.12. It can be concluded that H0 is rejected. Which means there is influence between reading interest on reading comprehension ability. Keywords: ability to read comprehension, interest in reading, learner
