This study discussed the SWOT analysis on the shrimp pond cultivation business in the Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe city. The type of research used qualitative through a field research. The data source used primary data from the business owner directly. The results of the research are internal factors that become strength like as large land potential, production value and volume, facilities and infrastructure, availability of adequate seeds and spatial utilization of coastal areas. The weaknesses are the high production costs, the windmills who cannot turn off at night, human resources and limited funds. While external factors that become opportunities are stable and competitive shrimp prices, demand for shrimp products, adequate transportation facilities, large business opportunities and consumer preference for pond products. Factors that pose a threat are shrimp diseases, reduced environmental carrying capacity, rising feed prices, low selling prices and environmental damage.
