Due to the temperature changes caused by seasonal changes and extreme weather, asphalt pavement suffers from rutting, cracking, and other damage. With commonly used pavement additives, the high-temperature performance and the low-temperature performance of asphalt pavement show opposite trends, with related research endeavoring to find a balance between the two.
