The objective of this paper is to present findings from a study, funded by Scottish Government and published in 2014, of child protection practice with disabled children and young people in Scotland. The main research aim was to examine how public services identify and support disabled children (aged 0-18) at risk of significant harm. The objective of this paper will be to examine how far these young people are present/visible or remain absent/hidden in child protection processes and services.
